Lyoto Machida’s debut at 185 pounds couldn’t have gone much better other than that it involved his friend and occasional training partner Mark Munoz. Removing the personal relationship between the two, their tilt was good on paper but played out to be a lopsided affair. Munoz never came close to taking Machida down and got blasted with a head kick a few minutes into the match-up, sending him down to the canvas and earning Machida Knockout of the Night honors.
MMA fans looking for a little afternoon delight found it today in the form of UFC Fight Night 30. The event was broadcast live on FOX Sports 2 from Manchester, England and offered up some excellent action for those tuning in. Now that the smoke has cleared, four competitors have emerged with an extra $50,000 due to their performances at the show in addition to numbers relating to the box office.
