Rosi Sexton / Though details weren’t provided, Sexton’s decision defeat to Jessica Andrade was so lopsided UFC President Dana White pointed to it after the event as a situation where a referee let action go on too long. She was pummeled pretty badly, showing great toughness in the loss, and will definitely need an extended vacation to heal up (and likely reassess her future in fighting).
Last weekend’s lineup for UFC Fight Night 30 produced a pretty solid dose of violence including brutal brawls, strike-based stoppages, and a technical submission. However, the action-packed event didn’t result in an equivalent amount of injuries, as only one fighter is at risk of spending an extended period of time on the sidelines. The UFC recently produced a list of suspensions relation to the English outing where, thankfully, the bulk of the evening’s competitors will only be shelved for precautionary reasons.
