Joe Riggs Picks Up 40th Career Win, Fight Master Title

Joe Riggs’ 40th career victory will be one he never forgets, as he became the first-ever Fight Master champion at Bellator 106 with a decision win over Mike Bronzoulis.

Riggs (40-14) picked Bronzoulis apart for 15 minutes, taking him down at will and going for several submissions. While “Diesel” wasn’t able to finish the fight, he did more than enough to win $100,000 and a spot in the next season tournament for a shot at the belt.

“This means everything to me,” Riggs said. “I do this to take care of my family. I am excited for the opportunity and so thankful for everybody that helped me out.”

Riggs has now won six straight fights, not including his five wins on the reality series.
