UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre never underestimates an opponent while preparing to head into the Octagon.
This Saturday night, GSP will face No. 1 contender Johny Hendricks in the main event of UFC 167.
Many feel Hendricks has the punching power and wrestling prowess to compete – and defeat – St-Pierre. The Canadian, though, believes he has “the right formula to take care of business.”
“He has great knockout power and covers distance really well,” said GSP, during an interview on UFC Tonight. “He has great wrestling and he’s very explosive.
“He’s stocky and it’s hard to train for him because he’s very unique so you can’t find training partners like him. But I believe I have the right formula to take care of business on Saturday.”
The 32-year-old St-Pierre (24-2) has defeated Carlos Condit and Nick Diaz since returning from knee injuries. He has earned six consecutive decisions since a 2009 TKO over BJ Penn.
