Kampmann was looking good going into his bout with Hendricks. He’d won a trio of consecutive clashes including finishes of Jake Ellenberger and Thiago Alves, plus he’d beaten Rick Story – the only man to have ever claimed victory over Hendricks. Regardless, Hendricks ultimately needed less than a minute to put “The Hitman” away, landing a stiff shot to the Dane’s chin sending him backward to the canvas for the knockout win.
