UFC president Dana White isn’t your typical leader of a mainstream sports promotion.
White likes to post video blogs showing him at work and behind the scenes, routinely takes to Twitter to engage in “discussions” with his critics and fans, and even hits up underground MMA forums from time to time.
Recently, White did just that, using The Underground forum to answer back at those calling for his head after the recent Georges St-Pierre fiasco.
“Sometime text me today and said there were a ton of (expletive) crying so i popped in to answer some questions and tell some people to (expletive) off,” White wrote. “I wanted to make sure it was VERY clear to the world that we have NOTHING to do with the judges and refs. You the hard cores know that but the rest of the world that tunes in to a big fight like that does not.
“Anyway, thats all i got. Those of you that are crying and (expletive) for me to leave are going to have to go watch Golf cause we are working on big things and i am just gettin started (expletive).”
So, there you have it; White giving it like only he can.
For what it’s worth, White also wrote that he still feels Alexander Gustafsson defeated Jon Jones earlier this year for the UFC light heavyweight title, adding that he just loves “talking fights, watching fights and everything else that goes along with it. I am just as much a fan as everyone else and love the sport, the UFC, the fans and most of the fighters.”
