"One thing that I wanted everybody to understand that night, because people don't understand - I wanted to make it absolutely clear that we in no way, shape, or form have any input whatsoever on the judges or the referees. We don't pick 'em, we have nothing to do with them. It's the complete opposite. And, obviously, I was a little fired up on Saturday night. But, I wanted to make it absolutely clear to everybody out there watching that we have nothing to do with judges and refs, the athletic commission does, which is the government."
UFC President Dana White has never been afraid of expressing his opinion and did so passionately this past Saturday night after judges awarded welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre a Split Decision win at UFC 167 despite the majority of onlookers feeling as though contender Johny Hendricks deserved a Unanimous nod. White had a chance to elaborate on his comments about the incompetence involved with Nevada’s athletic commission on this week’s episode of UFC Tonight, also talking to hosts Kenny Florian and Chael Sonnen about his reaction to St-Pierre’s decision to unexpectedly take time off after the closely-contested loss.
