Maynard’s history with Edgar is fairly epic, so “The Bully” beating the former lightweight king in their initial encounter is absolutely deserving of the top spot on his list of career accomplishments. At the time, both men were unbeaten and seen as two of the division’s future stars. Maynard outmuscled Edgar with relative ease, picking up a Unanimous Decision win in the end. As fans undoubtedly know, they would ultimately go on to tussle on two more occasions with one resulting in a Draw and the other involving a TKO nod for Edgar.
UFC lightweight Gray Maynard only has eleven wins on his record but, impressively, he can still lay claim to plenty of noteworthy wins against high-level adversaries inside the Octagon. The 34-year old originally entered the organization with a 2-0 mark and promptly went on to find a string of success after TUF 5 including triumphs over a former champion and two former title-contenders.
