Diaz loves to scrap but even he knew better than to exchange strikes with “The Young Assassin”. Guillard’s powerful striking has spelled the end of numerous opponents’ evenings, though his lack of submission defense has resulted in a like number of losses as far as his own career goes. Again showing interest in approach things strategically, Diaz ended up catching Guillard in a Guillotine Choke and sealing the deal.
UFC lightweight Nate Diaz (16-9) has experienced a handful of highs and lows during his run in the ring but never shown inconsistency in terms of his ability to entertain fans. The 28-year old Californian has been impressing in the Octagon or more than six years but could see his future in jeopardy unless able to avoid the first three-fight losing streak of his career when he faces Gray Maynard this weekend at the Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale.
