UFC matchmakers did fans a favor by booking Miller-Diaz based on the well-rounded arsenal of technique possessed by each in addition to their reputations for toughness. The fight definitely delivered, though ultimate Diaz’s skill-set was shown to be supreme. In the second stanza, Diaz latched on to Miller’s neck after an errant takedown attempt and didn’t let go until the tap-out came. To this day, it remains the only official submission loss in Miller’s 26-fight career.
