The Super Bowl weekend card, UFC 169, has added another bout, as Tom Watson will face Nick Catone, officials announced Thursday.
Set for February 1, the event takes place the day before the Super Bowl in Newark, New Jersey and the Prudential Center. Two title matches are scheduled, as Renan Barao and Dominick Cruz meet to unify the UFC bantamweight belt, while Jose Aldo defends his featherweight title vs. Ricardo Lamas.
Watson (16-6) has lost two of his three UFC fights, including recent decision loss to Thales Leites. Catone (9-4), nicknamed “The Jersey Devil,” will be competing in his native state.
Since back-to-back wins over Jesse Forbes and Costa Philippou, Catone has dropped two straight via finish to Chris Camozzi and TJ Waldburger.
