UFC Boss Talks Hunt-Bigfoot Main Event, Shogun Rua’s Future

UFC president Dana White was many countries away, but that didn’t stop him from enjoying the action like everybody else Friday night.

UFC Fight Night 33 delivered an epic heavyweight main event, as Mark Hunt and Antonio Silva fought to a majority draw after 25 grueling minutes of action.

“I agree that I have NEVER been so happy with a draw in my life!” White posted on Twitter. “I am happy it was a draw. Winner of that fight is US the fans!!!”

In the co-main event, former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua snapped a two-fight losing skid by finishing James Te Huna early in the first round. Some have questioned if retirement was in order should Rua be defeated again, but he put all those thoughts to sleep.

“Shogun can stay at whatever weight class he wants to,” said White, in regards to a possible move to 185 pounds. “His performance (Friday) was amazing.”
