UFC fans should consider themselves lucky when looking at the way boxing operates. Without question the price tag would be in the $65-75 range for a PPV boasting any bout with the appeal of Silva-Weidman II and/or Rousey-Tate II. Likewise, the card would only have a handful of fights instead of the eleven unfolding in the Octagon on December 28. As greedy as Dana White and his cohorts may appear to be, the UFC still has nothing on its sister sport and we should all be thankful in that regard. Zuffa’s decision to hike up the price for UFC 168 has understandably been an unpopular one with fans everywhere. After all, money is often tight during the holidays and the increase is clearly aimed at capitalizing on the co-headlining clashes rather than a necessary bump up. However, with the price set in stone, it’s time for folks to stop dwelling on factors outside of their control and consider why the extra $5.00 should be easy to stomach despite the company’s motivation for the move.
