UFC Fighter Lorenz Larkin Hosting Charity Event

UFC fighter Lorenz Larkin is using his status to help those in need.

Larkin will be hosting a charity ping pong tournament on December 20 at his home gym, Millennia MMA, to benefit the Wylie Center for Children.

Live raffles will be held, and other MMA fighters from the local scene are expected to be in attendance. People are asked to bring either $20, canned goods or unwrapped gifts – which will all be donated to the Wylie Center – to compete in the ping pong tournament.

“It’s a dream to fight for the UFC and I am so proud of where I’m from,” Larkin said. “Getting together with The Wylie Center to help families is something I’m excited to get the chance to do.”

The Wylie Center is a nonprofit organization that improves quality of life and enhances family relationships by providing programs for children and their families. These services include: autism intervention, medical therapy, mental health treatment, early intervention, parent education and outreach.

Larkin (14-1) is 1-1 since joining the UFC in 2013, including a recent win over Chris Camozzi. In 2012, making his final Strikeforce appearance, Larkin defeated current title contender Robbie Lawler via decision.
