Benson Henderson on Josh Thomson, Redemption, Keeping a Clear Head, and More

UFC lightweight Benson Henderson was champion for more than a year but never put together a dominant performance despite beating the likes of Frankie Edgar, Nate Diaz, and Gilbert Melendez. Rather, his title-defenses were all closely contested with two of the three involving Split Decisions. However, scorecards didn’t come into play when he ran into Anthony Pettis in August, suffering a submission defeat before the first frame had expired. In a little more than a month “Bendo” will have an opportunity to get back on the winning track when he faces Josh Thomson at UFC on FOX 10. Henderson recently spoke to UFC.com about his mindset after losing in such a significant way, what he expects in his tilt with Thomson, and how close he feels he is at getting another crack at Pettis.
