UFC Fight Night 34 is one for the history books, and the event was capped off by a brutal five-rounder between Tarec Saffiedine and Hyun Gyu Lim. The card itself featured the usual slew of beatdowns and tap outs – who took home the extra dough of the bonuses?
- Knockout of the Night went to Max Holloway, who need just a little over a round to crush newcomer Will Chope.
- Submission of the Night went to Russell Doane, who completely out-grappled grappling ace Leandro Issa, and put Issa to sleep in the second round.
- Fight of the Night honors went to main eventers Saffiedine and Lim. Lim had a strong first round, but thanks to eating some killer leg-kicks, could barely manage more than a stumble in the rounds that followed. He remained undaunted though, and swung for the fences, and created some thrilling drama went he wobbled Saffiedine in the waning seconds of the fifth round.
All bonuses were $50,000.
Reported attendance was 5,216 – a sellout for the venue.
