UFC 172: Charlie Brenneman-Danny Castillo Now Official

A day after losing his UFC 172 opponent, Danny Castillo now knows who he will be fighting in April.

Officials have placed Charlie Brenneman in the lightweight bout, set for April 26 from Baltimore. In the main event, Jon Jones defends his UFC light heavyweight title against Glover Teixeira.

Brenneman (19-6) returned to the UFC this past January, falling to Beneil Dariush. Prior to that, he had won four straight after being released from the promotion.

Castillo (18-6) was expected to meet Isaac Vallie-Flagg, but Takanori Gomi was inserted into that contest. The Team Alpha Male fighter is 5-2 in his last seven overall, including a loss to Edson Barboza.

Below is a list of the fight planned for that night:

UFC Light Heavyweight Championship

Middleweight: Luke Rockhold vs. Tim Boetsch

Welterweight: Jake Ellenberger vs. Tarec Saffiedine
