A planned bout between Davey Grant and Roland Delorme was scratched from today’s UFC Fight Night 37 lineup after Grant revealed he suffered a torn meniscus.
Both fighters weighed in successfully, but Grant was forced to tell the UFC doctor of the injury. He was immediately pulled.
“I’m devastated,” Grant told The Daily Telegraph in London, where the card is being held. “The doctor said there was no way I could fight.”
Grant and Delorme, bantamweight fighters, were both paid their fight purses for the contest.
Grant (8-2) was a finalist on The Ultimate Fighter 18, falling to Chris Holdsworth this past November. Delorme (9-2) is also an alum of TUF.
