Emanuel Newton did enough to impress the judges at Bellator 113 Friday night, becoming the unified light heavyweight champion with a split decision victory over Attila Vegh.
Newton, who won the interim title last year while Vegh was recovering from an injury, will likely face either Quinton “Rampage” Jackson or “King Mo” Lawal next. Those two meet later this year in a tournament final.
