ONE FC has confirmed plans for Ben Askren’s debut, announcing a handful of other bouts for ONE FC 15: Honor and Glory.
The card takes place May 30 from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Askren, a former Bellator welterweight champion and ex-U.S. Olympic wrestler, will face Bakhtiyar Abbasov in the main event. Ji Xian vs. Thanh Vu, Alain Ngalani vs. Lewis Parry, Radeem Rahman vs. Raymond Tan and Stephen Langdown vs. Casey Suire were also announced.
“ONE FC returns to the Singapore Indoor Stadium with the most stacked lineup of fights in the history of ONE FC. Fans in Singapore have been eagerly awaiting the return of world-class mixed martial arts action since our last event in October last year,” ONE FC CEO Victor Cui said. “Their wait is finally over and ONE FC fans can finally experience the exhilarating action that takes place in the ONE FC cage once again. The card will be headlined by the ONE FC debut of Ben Askren as he competes in Asia for the first time. Askren is the best welterweight in the world and he gets to prove that when he takes on Bakhtiyar Abbasov.
“We have also added five bouts featuring crowd-favorites to this historic night as ONE FC returns to Singapore for ONE FC: Honor and Glory.”
Recently, Cui talked with FightLine about the growth of ONE FC and what is ahead for the future.
