The fighter salaries from UFC Fight Night 40 have been released, with Matt Brown and Ed Herman scoring the biggest paychecks.
Brown, who defeated Erick Silva in the main event, earned $82,000. That does not include the $100,000 he picked up with two fight-night bonuses. Silva earned $22,000.
Herman netted himself $80,000, which included a $40,000 win bonus, for his performance vs. Rafael Natal. Natal earned $26,000 in defeat. Costas Philippou and Chris Cariaso each picked up checks over $40,000 for their main card victories vs. Lorenz Larkin and Louis Smolka, respectively.
The numbers were released to MMAjunkie.com from the Ohio Athletic Commission. As always, the salaries below do not include any sponsorship, locker room or other bonus money the fighters earn.
Darrell Montague, Ben Wall and Anthony Lapsley, who all dropped prelim bouts, had the lowest salary on the card at $8,000. Nik Lentz earned $58,000, which included a $29,000 win bonus, for his prelim victory over Manny Gamburyan on a bout streamed on Fight Pass.
