A new fight – and a returning fighter – have been added to UFC on FOX 12.
Set for July 26 from the SAP Center in San Jose, Steven Siler will face Noad Lahat in a featherweight contest. Also, Kyle Kingsbury will end his retirement against an opponent yet to be named.
The card currently features Anthony Johnson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Josh Thomson vs. Michael Johnson in two expected main card fights. The main event has yet to be announced.
The Siler-Lahat fight was first reported on “UFC Tonight,” but has yet to be made official by the promotion.
Siler (23-12) has won five of his eight UFC bouts, posting a respectable 5-3 record. He started his career after appearing on The Ultimate Fighter 14 by going 5-1, but has dropped bouts to Dennis Bermudez and Rony Jason recently.
In his career, Siler does hold wins over both Mike Brown and Cole Miller.
Lahat (7-1) dropped his debut with the promotion to Godofredo Pepey in Brazil last March, catching a flying knee that earned Pepey a “Performance of the Night” honor.
Kingsbury (11-5) confirmed his decision to end his retirement on “UFC Tonight.” He has split his eight Octagon bouts, going 4-4. Some of his notable defeats have come at the hands of Stephan Bonnar and Glover Teixeira, while his last win came in 2011 over Fabio Maldonado.
After a knockout loss to Jimi Manuwa in 2012, “Kingbu” announced that he was retiring. Kingsbury was on The Ultimate Fighter, losing to Krzysztof Soszynski.
