UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is back in the U.S. after a whirl-wind tour across the world. And now that he is, “Bones” is fielding questions left and right on Twitter.
It was recently reported that Alexander Gustafsson has signed to face Jones for the belt in August. However, UFC president Dana White has come out and stated that Jones’ signature has yet to make its way to the contract, leaving the bout unofficial.
When asked on Twitter, “you sign that contract yet?” Jones replied with, “What contract?”
He also responded to someone asking if he was going to sign with Bellator by writing, “Is that the latest rumor?” And finally, a simple, “I got nothing,” in response to someone saying “a lot of people calling you out champ, no response?”
Jones defeated Glover Teixeira earlier this year, setting the stage for his rematch with Gustafsson. In 2013, he earned a decision over the Swede, and while most felt an immediate rematch was in the cards, both had to take other fights first.
While out of the country, Jones ran a seminar in Curitiba, Brazil and was on a television show, as well.
