UFC Fight Night: Marquardt Vs. Te Huna Medical Report

ufc fight night 43

A number of fighters who competed in the UFC’s debut in New Zealand recently were handed lengthy medical suspensions. Since the event took place overseas, the UFC served as the governing body.

Gian Villante, Mike Rhodes and Soa Palelei were all given 180-day suspensions, while others were dealt 30- or 45-day suspensions. As always, these suspensions can be cleared by a medical doctor.

Nate Marquardt and James Te Huna, who met in the main event, were given just seven-day rest period suspensions, as were Sean O’Connell, Neil Magny, Roldan Sangcha-an, Jake Matthews, Robert Whittaker and Jared Rosholt.
