Bellator Adds Unbeaten Brazilian To Female Division

Bellator MMA president Scott Coker announced the signing of Talita Nogueira to the female featherweight division.

Nogueira brings a 6-0 record to the cage, including being a multi-time jiu-jitsu champion.

“Joining Bellator is like a dream come true,” Nogueira said. “Since I began my MMA career I wanted to compete in a promotion like Bellator so I want to thank Scott and Rich for bringing back women’s MMA to Bellator and I promise I will train harder than anyone to put on entertaining fights for Bellator.”

Nogueira started her MMA career in 2009 and went 4-0 before moving strictly to jiu-jitsu competition. She returns in 2013 to the cage and has won two fights since.

“We are always excited when we can bring in a talent like Talita to the organization,” Coker said. “This is just the beginning for women’s MMA here at Bellator. We want to make a very serious commitment to this division, and this is just the start.”

The 28-year-old competed last December, finishing Michelle Oliveira for her fourth win via submission. Her other two fights have both ended in knockout finishes.
