Fight Week Diet with Uriah Hall

Uriah Hall burst onto the MMA season with his emphatic wins on his season of The Ultimate Fighter. UFC President Dana White later questioned if Hall had the ‘killer instinct’ to fight at the UFC level.

Since then Hall has racked up two straight wins in the UFC including a TKO of Chris Leben at UFC 168.

Hall made have made changes to his fight week diet to help him better prepare. He discusses his process.

“Actually I’m more worried about the cut than the fight,” he laughs.

“Some people don’t cut the weight the right way and they don’t end up performing. I think it’s more of the balance of eating lean and still having your water.”

Hall says that if you eat well throughout your camp, then cutting the weight won’t be as difficult.

“If you just start to starve yourself now (near the fight) it will affect you.”
