HK42 Lightweight Title Fight

The headlining title bout features Canada’s top-ranked lightweight mixed martial artist, Ryan Dickson (@rydmma), against Bellator Fighting Championship veteran, Jason “The Finisher” Fischer (@FinisherMMA).

Ryan Dickson, born in Burlington Ontario, is the current Hard Knocks Lightweight title holder. Ryan has knocked out or submitted every fighter he’s beaten. Formerly a hockey player, he battled and successfully overcame testicular cancer in 2013.

Jason Fischer, born in Redford Michigan, is known to MMA fans as “The Finisher” because of his submission and choke holds. Formerly a wrestler, Jason began in his pro career in 2011, and signed with Bellator in 2012.

After the live Pay-Per-View event, it will be available on PPV channels and also on Video On Demand (VOD) on many cable systems.** The partnership with iN DEMAND includes complete content processing and delivery of the live event, plus PPV and VOD replays to U.S. cable households.

“MMA is one of the most popular sports for people under 35 years old,” says Ari Taub, 2008 Olympian and CEO of Hard Knocks Fighting. “Hard Knocks knows that these young fans are not only more likely to purchase expensive trucks and cars, but also VOD services from our new partner – iN DEMAND.”
