Josh Thomson’s Debut Announced For Bellator

Former Strikeforce champion Josh Thomson will make his debut with Bellator at Bellator: Dynamite 1, the promotion announced.

Thomson will meet Mike Bronzoulis on September 19 from the SAP Center in San Jose on the Spike TV main card. The card features light heavyweight champion Liam McGeary vs. Tito Ortiz, along with kickboxing fights through Glory.

Thomson (20-8) signed with Bellator recently after his contract with the UFC expired. He fought under Scott Coker before while both were with Strikeforce.

Bronzoulis (18-8-1) is also a former Strikeforce fighter and recently held the Legacy FC lightweight title. He was a competitor on the only season of “Fight Master.”
