Henry Cejudo climbed to the top of the wrestling world when he scored an Olympic gold medal in the 2008 Summer Olympics at 18 years old.

Now, after earning a fourth victory inside the Octagon, Cejudo believes he is next for Demetrious Johnson. Cejudo defeated Jussier Formiga via split decision Saturday night at UFC Fight Night 78.

“I want to display every art I have and it will take somebody of (Johnson’s) caliber to do that,” Cejudo said. “I believe I am next in line. Who else is next?”

Using his wrestling when he needed to, Cejudo (10-0) also found a home for his striking inside of the clinch.

“That was the plan,” he said. “I was extra cautious because I knew he likes to take the back. We wanted to hurt him throughout the clinch and kick off the takedowns. He came prepared.”

Cejudo also showed off a nasty welt on his left shin, adding “he kicked me pretty hard. It felt like he broke a part of my bone.”

Johnson, who has defended his title seven times, was sitting Octagon-side for the bout in Mexico.
