Prospects Johnny Case, Jake Matthews Headed To Australia

UFC Fight Night 84

Jake Matthews will once again compete in front of his native fans, as the Australian meets Johnny Case at UFC Fight Night 84.

Set for March 20 (March 19 in North America), the FOX Sports 1 card features a heavyweight battle between Mark Hunt and Frank Mir.

Matthews (9-1) rebounded last November from his first career defeat by finishing Akbarh Arreola. Since debuting with the UFC in 2004, he has gone 3-1, fighting in Australia and New Zealand each time.

Case (22-4) is on a 12-fight win streak that features four UFC victories – including a pair of submissions. He went 3-0 last year, besting Yan Cabral, Francisco Trevino and Frankie Perez.

The fight was first confirmed by The Herald Sun.
