Officials have been working on the April UFC 197 event while trying to fit the pieces together for other cards, announcing a handful of new fights recently.
Set for April 23 and Las Vegas, the night will see Jon Jones take on Daniel Cormier for light heavyweight gold and Henry Cejudo challenge Demetrious Johnson for the flyweight title.
Added to the evening are fights between Yair Rodriguez-Andre Fili, Marcos Rogerio de Lima-Clint Hester, Jessica Aguilar-Juliana Lima and James Vick-Glaico Franca. Robert Whittaker vs. Rafael Natal had been previously announced.
Rodriguez is a former winner of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America, while Fili is one of the more experienced 25-year-old fighters in the featherweight division. Hester will be moving up to light heavyweight after a pair of setbacks, while Aguilar is a former World Series of Fighting champion who has gone 10-1 in her last 11.
