Former UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw is focused in on Raphael Assuncao and UFC 200, but he isn’t ignoring Urijah Faber.
The former Team Alpha Male partners could square off in the future, and that is definitely something Dillashaw is looking forward to.
Recently, Faber insinuated that both Dillashaw and champion Dominick Cruz have used – or are using – performance-enhancing drugs. Dillashaw responded on “UFC Tonight” recently.
“That’s kind of crossing the line. He’s put our friendship on blast and put my name out there,” Dillashaw said. “He put me and Dominick on blast and looked like a fool. He’s always been a cool guy, but now he’s acting like a 14-year-old school girl wanting to create drama.”
As for Assuncao, the matchup allows Dillashaw a shot at avenging his loss from 2013 via split decision. He dropped the title in January to Cruz, also via split decision.
“You don’t always get your chance to avenge your losses,” he said. “I’ve got two in my sights. I’ve got to run through Raphael and then I want to get my belt back.”
