International Fight Week featured three cards, four championship matches and the return of Brock Lesnar.
One fighter, though, made himself out to be a promising star with a first round knockout.
Doo Ho Choi caught Thiago Tavares with a perfectly placed shot, earning his third straight win inside the Octagon and improving to 15-1 overall. Choi told reporters during the post-fight press conference that he has his sights set on both Asia and the U.S.
“My goal is to become champion, whether that means fighting in Asia or fighting in America,” he said. “It doesn’t really matter to me where I fight.”
Choi, who mentioned wanting to test his skills vs. the winner of Cub Swanson-Tatsuya Kawajiri, added that he would “just like to be on the big stage and drawing as much attention as possible” to his career.
