At just 24 years old, Nikita Krylov continues to get better each and every day.
Krylov showed just that at UFC 201 Saturday night, connecting with a head-kick that left Ed Herman out cold, giving him his fifth consecutive victory.
Following a 2014 submission loss to Ovince Saint Preux, Krylov (21-4) is a perfect 5-0 over his last five. That includes all five wins being finishes, with three subs and two knockouts.
“This was the most experienced opponent I have ever fought,” he said. “I have big respect for him and this was a very good moment for me.”
Overall, Krylov is 6-2 with the UFC, having dropped his debut three years ago as a heavyweight to Soa Palelei.
“Karate is my base,” he said. “It is one of the things I do best.”
