Anthony Hamilton showed off his power Saturday night at UFC 201, storming through Damian Grabowski and picking up his first win since 2015.
Hamilton rocked his fellow heavyweight right off the bat, finishing him with a shot in just 14 seconds. That is the second-fastest heavyweight knockout in UFC history.
“My corner told me to have fun,” said Hamilton, who had Greg Jackson working with him. “They said to let your hands go and that’s what I tried to do.
“Coming in, I knew Damian was a tough, experienced opponent. I came in here to work hard.”
After falling via decision to Shamil Abdurakhimov in February, Hamilton (15-5) picked up his first finish since a 2014 second round TKO over Ruan Potts. He is now 3-3 over six UFC appearances.
“I have been working on my hands, doing a lot of boxing,” he said. “Plus I have the best trainer in the world in Greg Jackson.”
