Report: K-1 tried to get Sokoudjou for Monday’s card
Loretta Hunt from The Fight Network is reporting that K-1 tried to bring in Sokoudjou as a last-minute addition to fill one of two vacant spots on a card scheduled to be held on Monday at the Yokohama Arena in Kanagawa, Japan. A lot of people are under the impression that Sokoudjou has signed a four fight deal with EliteXC. That’s not the case, according to EliteXC president Gary Shaw. Josh Gross of Sherdog.com is reporting that former PRIDE light heavyweight Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou has signed a lucrative four fight contract with Elite Xtreme Combat. Sokoudjou confirms talks with UFC
I was able to speak with Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou recently and he confirmed that his management team of Ryan Parsons and Dan Henderson have had direct talks with the UFC on his behalf.
