News of the new UFC 99 matchup comes courtesy of a report by the U.K.-based MMA magazine Fighters Only, which states that bout agreements have been signed and returned.

Fighters Only is also reporting that the loser of the bout will be released from his existing UFC contract.

Nicknamed “The Skyscraper” due to his listed height of 6’1”, Struve fell to 16-3 after losing his UFC debut last month at UFC 95 in London, England. Facing Brazilian heavyweight sensation Junior dos Santos, Struve was TKO’d just 54 seconds into the fight.

Stojnic is a native of Bosnia and Herzegovina but trains out of the Golden Glory gym near Amsterdam, Holland. The 29-year old kickboxing standout fell to 5-2 after losing his UFC debut last month at UFC Fight Night 17. Matched up against former NCAA All-American Cain Velasquez, Stojnic was TKO’d due to punches at 2:34 of round 2.

UFC 99 will emanate from the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany and will be headlined by a 195 pound catchweight fight between former PRIDE middleweight champion Wanderlei Silva and former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin.

In addition to Franklin vs. Silva and Struve vs. Stojnic, UFC 99 will also reportedly feature matchups between Mike Swick vs. Ben Saunders, Caol Uno vs. Spencer Fisher, Cain Velasquez vs. Heath Herring, Alessio Sakara vs. Alan Belcher, and Todd Duffee vs. Mustapha al Turk.

Velasquez, 4-0, is set to face UFC newcomer Denis “The Menace” Stojnic in a bout expected to air during Spike TV’s two-hour telecast of the event.

Velasquez made his Octagon debt at UFC 83 this past April, where he recorded a first round TKO victory over Brad Morris. Then, in his second and most recent UFC bout, Velasquez recorded another first round TKO at UFC Fight Night 14 in July, this time over fellow wrestling standout Jake O’Brien.

A member of the American Kickboxing Academy, Velasquez has also competed for the Strikeforce and BodogFIGHT promotions. All of his four victories have come via first round TKO.

His opponent, Stojnic, hails from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the kickboxing standout has accumulated a 5-1 professional MMA record while competing on the European circuit.

The 28-year old is currently on a two-fight win streak following a unanimous decision loss to standout M-1 Challenge heavyweight Jessie Gibson in November of 2007.

- Though Sherdog then came through again, stating Gary Goodridge would be named as a replacement on the Affliction card against Buentello since he was already licensed to fight in the state.

- James Irvin originally weighed in at 207.5lbs for his main event against Anderson Silva but on his second try made 206lbs to get to the light-heavyweight limit. Every fighter on the UFC card made weight for their fights on Saturday.

- Everyone made weight for the Affliction: Banned card (Fedor: 230lbs, Sylvia: 263lbs) outside of Justin Levens. Levens weighed in at 189lbs for his middleweight bout but was granted his fight against Ray Lazama, though he will give up a percentage of his purse to him.

“‘Kimbo Slice’ is a 2008 version of ‘Mr. T,’” Goodridge told Fight Network Radio. “Was ‘Mr. T’ tough back then? No. Could he beat anybody back then? No, but he had the words, he had the lyrics, and he had the gold.”

“Don’t come out telling people that you’re ‘Street Certified,’ that you can walk on the streets and punch out anybody, any man … you’re not afraid of nobody,” Goodridge said. “Man, I know people that will put him down and spank his ass.”

“I would fight ‘Kimbo’ for free,” he said. “Make the fight up, and I will fight him for free just to show people that I could kick his ass. He can’t beat nobody. He don’t want to fight any of this.”

For free? I don’t think you want to get your ass whipped for free, do you Gary? Maybe take the road that Tank Abbott did and command $1,000 more than Kimbo just so you can say you got paid more than he did.

Seems like everyone’s coming out of the woodworks now and saying they’ll fight Kimbo. Kimbo gets some publicity for the EliteXC show and then all of a sudden everyone and their mother is trying to get a piece of him. As for a fight with Gary Goodridge? I’ll take Kimbo via TKO, round one. All day baby, all day.
