			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Former <strong>UFC </strong>lightweight competitor <strong>Din Thomas</strong> has inked a three fight contract with <strong>Affliction</strong>.</p>
<p><a href="http:///www.fiveouncesofpain.com">FiveOuncesOfPain.com</a> confirmed the rumored signing with a source close to Thomas early Friday morning.</p>
<p>Thomas, a veteran from the fourth season of <em>The Ultimate Fighter</em>, is 23-8 in a pro career that dates back to 1998. The <strong>American Top Team</strong>-trained fighter holds notable wins in his career over <strong>Dokojonosuke Mishima</strong>, <strong>Jens Pulver</strong>, <strong>Matt Serra</strong>, and <strong>Clay Guida</strong>.</p>
<p>Competing nine times under the UFC banner, Thomas holds a lifetime record of 5-4 while competing inside of the Octagon. Thomas&#8217; most recent bout took place on Feb. 7 for a promotion billing itself as <strong>Headhunter Productions</strong>. Facing MMA rookie <strong>Dustin Pierkin</strong>, Thomas submitted the newcomer with a triangle choke at 2:58 of round 1.</p>
<p>No longer a regular competitor at 155 pounds, Thomas is expected to join an Affliction featherweight division that includes <strong>L.C. Davis</strong>, <strong>Bao Quach</strong>, <strong>Mark Hominick</strong>, <strong>Deividas Taurosevicius</strong>, and <strong>Savant Young</strong>.</p>
<p>A debut date and a first opponent for Thomas are not yet known.</p>
