UFC officials revealed to the media in attendance last night in Rosemont, Ill. for UFC 90 that the event drew a sellout 15,359 fans for a $2.8 million house at the Allstate Arena. If the attendance and house figures become official, it would make UFC 90 the highest-grossing event ever in the venue’s history, breaking the previous record set by Wrestlemania... 

In an unfortunate turn of events at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois this evening, Patrick Cote blew out his knee in the opening moments of the third round during his middleweight title fight with Anderson Silva. Cote is the only competitor to take Silva into the third round during his UFC career and at the opening of the third frame he blew out his knee...

Multiple sources have confirmed that Diego Sanchez is out of his fight at UFC 90 against Thiago Alves. Sanchez pulled out of the fight due to torn rib cartilage and will be replaced on the Oct. 25 fight card at the Allstate Arena by fellow TUF 1 alum Josh Koscheck. Ricardo Almeida has pulled out of UFC 90 due to an “undisclosed injury.” Almeida was set to face off against Matt Horwich in a middleweight matchup on the undercard of the pay-per-view. Now highly touted middleweight prospect and Renzo Gracie student Dan Miller will step in to face Horwich in Almeida’s place. Sherdog is reporting that Melvin Guillard, who was pulled off the UFC 90 card last week, has been arrested due to a violation of his probation relating to a 2007 drug charge. According to the report Guillard is currently in custody at the Harris County Jail in Houston, Texas. He is set to be released to a drug treatment facility as soon as space becomes available.... 

A previously announced lightweight bout between Melvin Guillard and Spencer Fisher scheduled to take place at UFC 90 on Oct. 25 in Rosemont, Ill. at the Allstate Arena is no longer slated, according to UFC.com.
